Privacy, for parents
CelestQuest (Sagornas karta) is a free learning game for children aged 8 to 13, run from Sweden by the team behind Natal Echo. We built it to collect as little as possible: no accounts, no names, no email, no ads and no tracking.
What the game stores
- On your child's device: game progress, language choice and a random player code. The code is not linked to a name, email or device ID.
- On our server: the random player code, used to limit how often the game can call the AI, to show their team in the arena, and to count reports. We also keep standard server logs (IP address, page requested) for security.
- Shared library: figure cards, stories and adventures written by our AI are shared with all players. Text that a child types (for example a figure's name or an adventure theme) is only used to ask the AI; it is never shown to other players.
- We do not ask for or knowingly collect a child's name, email, photo, location or any other contact details.
AI in the game
- Stories, figure cards and narration voices are made with AI and checked by an AI proofreader. They can contain mistakes.
- When your child asks for a new figure or adventure, the words they type are sent through our server to AI model providers (via OpenRouter) to write it. Please remind children not to type personal details.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel (website hosting), Render (game server), Redis Cloud (shared library and arena), OpenRouter and the AI model providers it uses (writing text and voices).
- Some are in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
- No analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Fonts are served from our own site.
Reporting content
- Every shared figure has a report button. A figure reported by three players is hidden automatically, and you can email us to remove anything at once.
Your rights as a parent
- You can ask what we hold, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop: email privacy@natalecho.com. Include the player code if you can (shown in the game's arena panel); clearing the browser's site data removes everything on the device.
- You can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se). In the US, this notice is our COPPA notice to parents.
- Copyright or other content complaints: privacy@natalecho.com.
